Our Plans - Your road to becoming the runner you want to be
About Peak|Performance|Running|
Hi, I am Ant a British Army Veteran who has competed at every distance from 5k to marathons at 42.195k or 26.2 miles for us traditionalists!
I competed for the British Army at XC and 10k, but started out as a club runner in 1998 for Pendle AC.
Having spent 5 years in the Army, in 2005 I suffered a life and career changing triple leg fracture, which almost resulted in amputation.
I was told that I would never run again, but with my mindset I have gone on to compete in multiple 5k, 10k, Half and Full Marathons achieving good for age times at marathon distance!
After the injury I went on to feature in Men’s Running Project 26.2 and then became a writer for the magazine, a supported athlete for Brooks Running, VR Compression, Garmin and I was also an ambassador for the Virgin Money London Marathon.
I have trained with Olympic athletes from the UK, Kenya, the USA and New Zealand and have also trained under the guidance of British, Dutch and other elite international coaches both in the UK and in Kenya where I spent almost a month training at altitude.
With my wealth of experience, I can help you to become the runner you would like to be with my range of training plans and guidance.
